Sovini Property Services complete dementia friendly refurb
Sovini Property Services have been working with One Vision Housing to redevelop their Mill Spring Court property in Bootle, including a full refurbishment of all the communal areas at the property.
One Vision Housing are investing over £1m to refurbish all of their retirement schemes, to make them more energy efficient and accessible for people living with dementia.
The residents were consulted throughout the refurbishment, and chose the fabrics and colours for all of the soft furnishings, carpets, window blinds and curtains.
As a thank you to the residents for their patience during the refurbishment, and for all of their input and feedback throughout the process, the communal lounge at Mill Spring Court was officially reopened on the 27th July with an afternoon tea event for all residents. The feedback received during this event was unanimously positive, with all of the residents of Mill Spring Court very happy with the results of the refurbishment.
Jacqueline Boughley, Customer Liaison Officer at Sovini Property Services, said:
“We were keen to involve the residents from concept through to delivery and keep them fully informed throughout the refurbishment. I was on site every day and the residents really appreciated being consulted about how they wanted the property to look. Speaking to them at the afternoon tea event, the feedback from everyone was fantastic.”
