Sovini Property Services Ground Maintenance Team Provide a Festive Helping Hand to Local Bootle Community Group Taking Root.

Taking Root is a Bootle based, non-for-profit organisation, which focuses on improving the local green areas in and around South Sefton. The community group uses the growth of healthy fruit and vegetables as a catalyst for local community benefit and environmental improvement.

Project Manager, Anthony Payne and the Sovini Property Services Ground Maintenance Team helped our local community friends at Taking Root in South Park to get their community garden winter ready. Now the grass has been cut back the garden is ready for a new poly tunnel and grotto.

Sovini Property Services Project Manager, Anthony Payne shares that

“We thoroughly enjoyed partnering with Taking Root Bootle. We are thrilled that the work we conducted will now allow South Park to become a social space for the local community to come together, share, socialise and learn. We hope the winter garden brings festive and continued joy to the community. Our team believe that by supporting local community groups such as Taking Root it is fundamental to establishing and maintaining a sustainable community in which we work in”.

Work like this is invaluable in helping community gardens thrive. With a little teamwork we’ve been able to help Taking Root continue to improve the health and well-being of local residents.

A special thanks to Grounds Maintenance Working Foreman, Gary Roach, Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, Jack Murphy and Grounds Maintenance Operatives, Michael Hoult and Daniel Mannerly.
