Sovini Property Services supporting local cancer charity
Merseyside based repairs and maintenance provider Sovini Property Services (SPS) donated valuable resources to carry out essential repairs ahead of the winter months for Woodlands Hospice, a registered charity dedicated to providing care for the people of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby in Knowsley.
Founded by Woodlands Hospice Charitable Trust, the independent charity is committed to delivering the best possible practice and development of specialist palliative care for people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
Part of the award-winning The Sovini Group, Sovini Property Services play a pivotal role in contributing towards growth and sustainability and aim to conduct business in an ethical manner and seek to improve the regions and communities in which we work.
As part of this commitment, SPS carried out urgent repointing works using high quality materials donated by partner Sovini Trade Supplies, part of the Group’s integrated supply chain.
Two Bricklayers from the SPS Repairs and Maintenance Team, and coincidentally father and son duo, Frank and Franics Burcher volunteered their skills, refilling the outer part of the joints on brickwork where the previous mortar has weathered away, or has been deemed unsuitable.
Mike Dale, Head of Property Services and Growth at Sovini Property Services said;
“Sovini Property Services are delighted to support Woodlands Hospice with the maintenance of their building. The works will ensure the longevity of the kitchen which provides vital support and care services throughout the hospice. Our enthusiastic team were keen to lend a hand during the restoration project, supporting our vision of creating a better future for the communities we serve.”
Lisa Hamblet, Customer Experience & Volunteer Coordinator at Woodlands Hospice said;
“We are extremely thankful to Sovini Property Services who have generously given their time and materials to repair the pointing at Woodlands Hospice. As a charity we are reliant on corporates for their skills and services, having this support from Sovini Property Services is greatly appreciated by everyone at Woodlands. We would also like to thank the workmen for their dedication, commitment and compassion.”
