Sovini Property Services apprentices clean up at The Sovini Group Apprentice Awards

Seven of our employees scooped awards at the first ever Apprentice Awards hosted by The Sovini Group.

The Sovini Group Apprentice Awards took place on Thursday 7th March – during National Apprenticeship Week – recognising the positive impact of apprentices on the organisation.

The winners are:

Rising Star Award

Amy Jones, Finance Apprentice, Sovini
Amy is a bright, confident and competent young lady. She is always wanting to learn and develop her skills. Amy is a lovely person who is always willing to help anyone in her team and also any of her colleagues across the business. She is an asset to any organisation.

Liam Hidderley, Apprentice Electrician, Sovini Property Services
Liam has excelled through his apprenticeship covering all types of electrical work. He is always keen to learn new skills and the quality of his work is excellent.

Most Improved Award

Connor Dyer, Joinery Apprentice, Sovini Property Services
Connor has made a huge effort to improve all round. His attitude, skills and commitment have improved significantly.

Best Newcomer Award

Callum Worrall- Connolly, Apprentice Electrician, Sovini Property Services
Callum has a good attitude and is always eager to learn. He shows great promise in his work and is a excellent member of the team.

Inspiration Award

Patrick Fazackerely, Apprentice Electrician, Sovini Property Services
Patrick shows a positive attitude in his role and demonstrates that he can get the job done and is willing to help others when needed.

Top E-learner Award

Katie Chen, Housing Apprentice, Pine Court Housing Association
Katie holds the title for the most e-learning courses completed outside of the mandatory courses and her apprenticeship package. She is always keen to learn!

Trainer’s Choice Award

Jack Kiernan, Apprentice Electrician, Sovini Property Services
Jack has a genuine interest in Electrical Installation work and demonstrates a mature and positive attitude towards learning and development. He can work with the minimum aid and supervision to obtain positive outcomes. If he continues in this manner Jack should be successful with his chosen profession

James Chapman, Apprentice Gas Engineer, Sovini Property Services
I have had the pleasure of teaching James since November 2016. During this time I have witnessed James develop into a confident and competent young person.Always enthusiastic and determined to further develop himself, James has been an outstanding example of how to gain the most from the opportunities an apprenticeship can offer.

Mentor of the Year Award

Steven Scott, Electrician, Sovini Property Services

After working with Ste for almost year my confidence has grown and I feel like I have learned a lot. Not only is he a good mentor he is a kind genuine person who would go out his way to help you with anything. I’ve been lucky enough to work with him and even luckier to have gained a great friend.

Apprentice of the Year Award

Connor Harland, Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, Carroll Build

Connor is a valued member of the team. He works hard, takes on challenges that exceed his job role and delivers successfully each time. He is willing to put any extra effort and time in and does not shirk away from hard work. He exudes a willingness to learn and grow within his field and the team would not be the same without him.
