SPS Christmas pallet donation provides community with much needed resources
The Sovini Group’s Stakeholder Engagement Team worked with Sovini Property Services (SPS) to donate a pallet food and hygiene products to Sefton OPERA, who work to support older people in the communities in which SPS serve.
Sefton OPERA (Sefton Older Persons Enabling Resource & Action) began in 1999 delivering complementary therapies and now also deliver music sessions, chair based exercise, IT workshops, craft sessions, swimming classes, zumba light sessions and stress sessions. They also work within schools delivering stress programmes, tai chi sessions and an intergenerational programme. Since the project began, they have worked with over 30,000 people establishing a successful track record.
As a result of SPS’s donation, Sefton OPERA were able to support 200 older persons in the Sefton area this Christmas.
In total, this project has helped to support over 2000 residents throughout the Merseyside area and beyond, generating £3,447,693 in social value according to the HACT social value calculator, which is £793.10 for every £1 spent.
